The Gargoyle Launches

In The Beginning.....

Most people like to hear a great story about how things became the way we know them today. As an author of non-fiction and fictional works, I love to write and tell such stories. However, this story is more about me, so you can know more about your Dragonize Syndicate author.

I grew up in the southern Utah desert and loved jogging in the heat. I'm a Scorpio, the water sign represented by a desert creepy crawly. So, naturally, an Arizona lake life fits my personality. I still love jogging in the heat and spending my days and nights out my boat.

When I was young I found a passion which helped me define "me." That passion was by coaching gymnastics. During my tenure of 26 years now, I have been fortunate to work with all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and personalities. With these experiences, I was able to start identifying certain characteristics in those I coached. These common characteristics either progressed them toward their goals or diminished the prospect of achieving their hopes. In efforts to help my athlete students get their best results possible, the embryo of the Goal Process began to take shape.

As a coach, I wanted my classes to be much more than just a weekday activity. I wanted to see those gymnasts be happier people in all areas of their lives, in and out of the gym. Eventually, I really wasn't teaching gymnastics, I was teaching people, very young people. Another new realm of happiness fulfilled my coaching style as I watched many gymnasts grow up with the sport and move on; taking lessons with them as they departed. These lessons also taught me as I began documenting these life's experiences.

Since then, the Goal Process has become a major anchor of philosophies in my life. In the midst of difficulties, it has helped me make better decisions, especially when I felt all options inevitably rendered horrible results.

To be a bit more personal, as time went on, not everything in my life flourished. Instead, I had scenario's which taught me more than study ever could. I endured many losses; business, finances, and family relationships. During these hardships, I turned even more so to the Goal Process as my own lessons helped me battle the toughest days.

Since 2001, I have chased my dreams of operating my own gymnastics club. Some years went really well. Other years were a hard fail. January of 2017, that long-lived dream was no longer an option to chose from. All I owned was a vehicle with nearly 300,000 miles vibrating down the road on lopsided tires, and a 28-foot hull of a vessel resembling the shape of a boat.

Along with my kids, we began working on this 1970 fiberglass boat to transform it into the Dragonize office. The Dragonize Studios & Institute Inc. literally began on a boat, in dry dock, near an airport runway in the middle of the desert. The boat was just a shell and rotted roof overhead. We had a lot of work to do, but we made memories of our lives working together. The boat is so ugly, we named it the "Gargoyle."

From this moment in time forward, it is our mission promote the 'Greatly' things in every ZIP Code of the United States through the Dragonize Syndicate. We are only one great American story to tell. We hope to have more American Stories spread across the home of the Brave and Land of the Free.
